INGREDIENTS:

1 crust from 15 oz. package of refrigerated pie crusts

1 21-oz can of apple pie filling

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries

1/4 cup chopped walnuts, optional

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon sugar

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Unwrap pie crust and place in 8″ pie plate.

2) Combine all ingredients, except sugar, in missing bowl; mix well.

3) Spoon fruit mixture into pastry-lined plate.

4) Fold edges of pastry over fruit, pleating so crust lies flat. Sprinkle sugar over crust.

5) Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until fruit is bubbly and crust is golden brown. May be served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Makes 8 servings.
